Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed on Friday the men’s squad who will represent their nation at this year’s ICC World Cup tournament.

Babar Azam will lead this team.

Hasan Ali has taken over from Naseem Shah in the World Cup squad due to an expected change. After suffering a shoulder injury at Asia Cup 2023, Hasen will likely remain sidelined for some time.

Ali last played an ODI match for Pakistan against West Indies at Multan Stadium on April 11, 2022.

Pakistan made two adjustments to their squad for the Asia Cup 2023, dropping all-rounder Faheem Ashraf and moving wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris into reserves.

ICC World Cup 2023 will take place across 10 venues in India from October 5 to November 19, with Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad serving as both venue opener and final.

The top four teams will advance to the semifinals, which will be hosted in Mumbai and Kolkata respectively on November 15 and 16. Additionally, both the semifinals and the final will have reserve days.

versus South Africa, to be played in Chennai on the 27th of October

October 31 – A match against Bangladesh, to be played in Kolkata

The day match on November 4 will be played against New Zealand in Bengaluru.

11 November – Match Against England, to be Held in Kolkata

The day matches will begin at 10:00 a.m. Pakistan Standard Time (PST), but all of the remaining matches will be day-night games and will begin at 01:30 p.m. PST.

In the event that Pakistan advances to the semifinals, their match will take place in Kolkata.

Should India advance to the semifinals, their matches will take place in Mumbai, unless they are scheduled to face Pakistan; in that case, the matches will take place in Kolkata.
